'Hostile' is Sonita Gale's debut film, and will take a hard-hitting look at the root causes of the systemic racial and economic inequalities that exist in our society, and the reforms needed in the way our Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities are valued. It will follow a number of subjects who have been impacted by inequality in some way, and feature discussions from high profile contributors, including MPs, academics, and artists'

I worked with Sonita on her directorial debut, filming the protests and unrest that occurred after the first UK wide Coronavirus lockdown. Our journey took us from Parliament Square to Wolverhampton, via sprawling council estates in Brent. It was an honour to be on the journey with her, and an experience I will never forget. The film is scheduled for release spring 2021.
